Support centre „SAPNIS” (A DREAM) is an association established in 2007. We deal with children and teenagers from low-income families and families that are under social risk. We work not only with children, but also with the family as a whole. Children ranging in the age from 7 to 14 years old visit our centre daily. They spend at the centre approximately 5 hours a day – doing homework, eating late lunch. Centre offers the possibility to take a shower, to wash clothes, to participate in various hobby groups and to learn skills necessary for everyday life. Within limits we help the families financially – we pay for their lunch at school, help with buying food, medicine, school books, school equipment and clothes. We also provide parents with consultations regarding social issues.
We are parents ourselves and we know the problems families that raise children are facing. Our aim is to help children and teenagers to see that there is a possibility to have a normal life and to help them to realize their value and to re-establish their self-esteem.
We believe that every person has rights to live a safe life in a safe environment, among loving and concerned people. If someone is not that lucky as others, it does not mean that they do not have a chance to become a good person.
Everyone – either big or small has a DREAM – and we try to help to make these DREAMS come true!
We want you to know that at our centre you will find support and encouragement and there will always be someone to talk to and to ask for advice.
